I had four herniated disks in my low back from an accident. I was told by two orthopedic surgeons that I needed a spinal fusion. On a good day my pain level was a 3/10, on a bad day I couldn't get out of bed. Then the radiating leg pain started about a year ago, and the pain became worse and more frequent. I couldn't enjoy the normal everyday things such as walking with my wife and dogs or skiing. I even had trouble getting dressed in occasions. In April of 2023 I had the DiscSeel procedure and I couldn't be happier. It's been five months since then and now I'm back, feeling better than I have in 20 years. I'm able to work out at the gym, snow skiing again, having a normal life. I highly recommend the procedure and would definitely do it again, no doubt.

I'm Feeling better each day, I just finished biking trip around The Netherlands and Belgium. 250 miles in 5 days. I will be doing an Ironman world championship in 2 months….!

The DISCSEEL® Procedure has solved my lower back problems, which other doctors have overlooked for the past 4 years. I wish I had known about this procedure earlier.

I can be an over doer working in my yard, plus I had a 29% curvature in my low back. I had extreme pain get worse trying to lift weights. I had 4 leaky discs sealed on May 5th. Now in recovery mode, from my miles of flower beds, yard, and garden. It's hard to not get back out there! But I'm trying to be good. My brother has had 6 back fusion surgeries, going on possibly 7. He has bolts all the way down his back. He's still in constant pain. He needs to see my doctor!

I had 2 microdiscectomy's (2010, 2012). I'm my case, they just bought me some time as the pain always comes back. In 2015, I was recommended to get a 4 level X Flex fusion. No way, there are alternatives……This procedure changed my life. It's changed the lives of many friends and family members as well. I was on pain meds for 10 years and in awful pain. I was off them 2 weeks after the procedure, that was 3.5 years ago.

I just wanted to thank the folks at East Coast Discseel for the kind care before and after my Discseel procedure. I had previously been evaluated by a neurosurgeon who recommended a fusion. A subsequent opinion by an orthopedic spine surgeon also recommended a fusion. Having had my mom go through spine surgery in her 40s and how she is today in her 70s - did not make me too excited about having an open procedure. She has had to have multiple fusions over the last twenty years, and I did not want that to be my fate. I researched Discseel online and spoke to my pain management doctor who was not a big fan of fusions and suggested at least investigating Discseel. I had the procedure 8 months ago and I have returned to normal activity. I was walking around the day of the procedure and did not have a hospital stay. The staff, Dr. Jerry Mastaw and Dr. Bjerke and his team were amazing! I would recommend anyone who has been told they need a fusion to at least investigate Discseel and call the folks at East Coast Discseel and see if this procedure would work for them.
